BREAD BHURJI


Veg Bhurji

Here is a easy to make bread recipe, which can be made in 10 minutes. This is not only easy with less ingredients but also very healthy. Normally we make bread upma, bread toast, but this is slightly different where curd is used.

Here we go for the Bread Bhurji recipe.



Ingredients :

Whole wheat / Multi grain bread / White bread - 5 Big slices.
Fresh Curd / Yogurt - 1/4 cup ( Not too thick & Not sour )
Oil - 2 Table Spoon
Jeera / Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
Onion - 1 No ( Medium Size)
Capsicum - 2 Table Spoon
Tomato - 1/2 No.
Red chili Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Green chili - 1 No
Garam masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
Pepper Powder - A pinch
Coriander Leaves - 1 Table Spoon
Curry Leaves - Few
Turmeric powder - A generous pinch.


Method :

Cut the bread in to cubes. Chop green chili, onion, tomato, and coriander leaves very finely.
In a bowl add bread cubes and curd mix well. ( if the curd is too thick add 2 or 3 table spoon water and make it thin )

Heat oil in a pan, add jeera / cumin seeds, then add finely chopped onion, capsicum, curry leaves saute for a minute now add tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, green chili, pepper powder, coriander leaves, lastly addd garam masala and saute well. Now add the bread cubes soaked in curd to it and mix well, reduce the flame and cook well until the raw smell of curd goes off. Serve hot. Yummy Bread Burji is ready.

Notes :

If the bread is too soft then reduce the curd quantity.
If you want you can mash the bread too..
This tastes better when eaten hot.
