Me and my hubby both love paneer. So I keep experimenting with lot of paneer recipes. Paneer pakora being the all time favorite :-) So if you are looking for a simple, easy evening snack to go well with Tea / Coffee, then pakora is the right snack. So lets go the recipe...
Ingredients :
Paneer - 1 Cup ( Small Cubes)
Gram Flour ( Besan) - 1/2 Cup
Rice Flour - 1/4 Cup
Red chili Powder - 3/4 Teaspoon
Corn Flour - 1 Teaspoon
Ghee - 2 Teaspoon
Baking Soda - 1/8 Teaspoon
Salt - To taste.
Oil - To Deep fry
To Sprinkle :
Jeera ( Cumin ) Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Pepper Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
Black Salt ( Kala namak) - 1/4 Teaspoon
Method :
In a mixing bowl, add all the flour's ( Besan, Rice, Corn) add red chili powder, Salt , ghee, baking soda, mix well, and add water to make a thick batter consistency.
Heat oil in a deep pan, and dip the paneer cubes in to the batter ( make sure the paneer cubes are well coated with batter on both the sides) and drop in the hot oil, fry until both the sides turn golden brown in color. Drain in a absorbent paper.
Transfer to a serving plate.
Mix the Jeera powder, pepper powder, and black salt well, and spindle over the hot panner pakora's.
Tasty, crispy paneer pakoda is ready to be served with green chutney or sauce. I am this will be kid's favorite snack :-)
Tried Cabbage pakora ??? If not try that too :-) Click the here for the recipe...
Notes :
You can sprinkle chaat masala instead of Jeera, pepper, and black salt.
You can add pepper powder instead of red chili powder.
Hot oil can be replaced with ghee.
so simple protein rich pakora
