Green/Hari Chutney is a multi purpose & most favorite accompaniment be-it pakora, sandwich, chaat, papad, dhokla,samosa's.... I know the list is endless :-) It's a very tasty chutney/dip. You can store it in fridge up to a week. Here is the recipe of Indian green sauce/Dip/Chutney......
Ingredients :
Fresh Mint /Pudina Leaves - 1 Cup
Fresh Coriander Leaves - 1 cup
Onion - 1 No (Medium Size)
Green Chilies - 2 No (Adjust accordingly)
Garlic pods - 1
Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
Lemon - 1 No
Salt - As per taste.
Garam masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
Method :
Wash Pudina/Mint and Coriander leaves well, pat dry. Take a blender add coriander leaves, mint leaves, roughly chopped onion, garlic pod, Sugar, salt, pour the lemon juice and grind it smoothly. Transfer to a air tight container, add garam masala, mix well. Yummy & Tasty Green/Hari chutney or Mint & Coriander chutney is ready to be served with your favorite snack.
Notes :
No need to throw away the stem portion of coriander you can roughly chop it and add to the recipe.
Variation :
You can use any one of the greens i.e either mint or coriander leaves instead of adding both.
You can add black salt/Kala namak instead of normal salt.
You can add chat masala instead of garam masala.
